The new high-bio-containment intensive care unit at the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan was inaugurated on May 29, 2020, just days after the lock-down ended.

In spite of the difficulties of the emergency period Covid, thanks to the cooperation and helpfulness of suppliers and subcontractors, the company in charge of construction, testing and commissioning, managed to complete the high-bio-containment intensive care unit in just two months: the state-of-the-art dual-flow ventilation system with laminar flow diffusers and absolute filters is the world's first example in the field.

The Single Inpatient Room Ventilation system can operate underpressure, for infectious patients, and overpressure, for immunocompromised patients.
