Russi's Renewable Energy Hub

Russi's Renewable Energy Hub

In 2018 we were involved in the project to build the Russi Renewable Energy Hub, otherwise known as the Santa Brigida Power Plant. The plant, owned by PowerCrop Russi s.r.l., is located in the municipality of Russi (RA) in the industrial area on which the Eridania sugar mill was erected, located between the Lamone River and the Ravenna - Bologna railway line and about 1.5 km from the A14 DIR highway.

Consisting of three plant sections, a biomass thermoelectric power plant, a biogas plant and a photovoltaic plant, at the behest of the owners, it was designed and built according to the highest industry standards both architecturally and structurally and in terms of plant engineering.

The plant is also equipped with the best available technologies in terms of abatement of atmospheric emissions of pollutants.

The architectural design was entrusted to architect Giovanni Vaccarini and civil construction to the Salvati company of Terni. The construction of the plant was entrusted to the company Termokimik Corporation of Milan, which also used our company as technical suppliers.

In this particular case, we were responsible for the production and supply of more than 120 aphonic grates, with a total linear development of 250 ml and a surface area of 370 sq. m.

The Client's request was to be able to install on the perimeter of two of the buildings that are part of the Pole, a series of ventilation grilles with sound attenuation properties. At the same time, they were to be equipped with a motorized control damper that would allow the air passage to be closed when necessary.

The product we proposed, following a series of technical/constructive investigations, was an aphonic grille with a depth of 400 mm, our GFZ4 model with an average size of 2000x1550 mm, equipped with a 100 mm pitch opposing motion flaps damper series STZC1 with Belimo on/off 24 V servo motor series SM24A.

For installation requirements, the product has been appropriately customized with different construction configurations and anchoring flanges defined with the customer.
