Symbiosis, Milan

Symbiosis is an urban regeneration project that starts from the edge of the Olympic village, inside the Scalo Romana, and the new headquarters of the Prada foundation. A new Business District in the south of the city covering 125,000 square meters signed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel studio and developed by Covivio Group. All buildings are energy class A with the goal of achieving LEED Platinum certification.

Symbiosis is perfectly integrated into the urban fabric and is located at the center of a creative and evolving area. Showrooms, museums, universities, research centers and international destinations such as Fondazione Prada and Talent Garden create the perfect environment to grow. The next major player in the area is the regeneration project of the Ex Scalo Ferroviario di Porta Romana, which opens up a great opportunity for territorial enhancement under the banner of sustainability, thanks to the collaboration between Covivio, Coima and Prada Holding S.p.A. This important intervention will further connect the entire area to the urban fabric, bringing Symbiosis even closer to the city center.

As part of this massive project we were involved in the supply of a substantial amount of products, among which the largest supply involved more than 650 m of microperforated inductive piping, our model TIN-Z. Unlike classic installations, which involve longitudinal developments of microperforated ducts, in this case the installation included an interesting technical and aesthetic solution with transverse sections of short lengths according to the following constructive-functional schemes:

Connected with double fittings, also manufactured entirely at our factory, to the dedicated fan-coil, these pipes are intended to diffuse air, through a suitably designed perforation, in the direction of the external perimeter windows.
