Luigi Bocconi University, Milan

For the new Campus of the Luigi Bocconi Business University in Milan, signed by the two Japanese archistars, 2010 Pritzker Prize winners Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of the SANAA studio, we were involved in the production and supply of several products to be installed in the many buildings that make up the prestigious site: university lecture halls, faculty offices, sports center and indoor Olympic swimming pool.

Work on our supply, began in 2018 and was completed in 2020.

In order to meet the architectural-functional requirements demanded by the client, in addition to standard products of our own production, we have created a series of absolutely customized elements.

An emblematic example of this are the perforated walkable vents, intended for floor air diffusion in university classrooms, composed of an adjustable metal frame supporting an all-wood upper screen.

For other spaces of the Campus, having to ensure the aesthetic continuity of the curvilinear forms of the different buildings, we produced several hundred meters of curvilinear pedestrian grilles, equipped in the lower part with related supply plenums, which we were able to make thanks to a new machine of the latest generation (paneling machine).

Air diffusion in the indoor Olympic swimming pool was realized by installing ducts equipped with high induction multi-nozzle terminals our BUGR model.

The sizing of these ducts was evaluated with our technical support in collaboration with the design firm.

Also in the Recreation Centre, but this time above the playgrounds, we sized, manufactured and supplied microperforated inductive piping in painted Zn steel TIN-Z series.

Completing the job, we supplied a numerous series of EFD series rectangular fire dampers and STZ control dampers, SHI high induction helical diffusers and BSF perforated screen grilles.

The commitment on our part was to be able to supply in a very difficult period for everyone quality products within tight deadlines, giving the order the highest priority.
